Bulloch County Schools recognizes the importance of cultural diversity. With that, Human Resources is creating a video about diversity and we want to hear from our students!

Those interested must select one of the options listed below and submit their entry to their Principal. Entries should detail and answer the question(s), “What does cultural diversity mean to you?” and/or, “What makes you different from your classmates?”

  • Essay/poem (no more than 200 words) OR
  • Piece of artwork (that can be easily transported and stored at your
    school for evaluation) OR
  • Video (no longer than 30 seconds)

Entries are due by 4:30 pm on Friday, April 20th.
Two students from each school will be selected to feature in a video, sharing pieces of their submissions. This video will be used for future school events and trainings.

In this new age where information is available immediately and in the palm of our hand, Cartersville City had a dilemma. The Cartersville City Schools’ (CCS) website was outdated, arduous for both backend users and the targeted audience of stakeholders including applicants for job vacancies or our own staff. Worst of all, it did not convert correctly or easily to mobile devices. After viewing demonstrations from a variety of website providers, we found the
Blackboard product best suited our needs. We choose the customizable, design-your-own option to ensure our website offered up-to-date features and flexibility. O

Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) will begin an innovative “Interns as Teachers” partnership with designated colleges/universities (i.e. Gordon State College, Mercer University, University of West Georgia, Clayton State University, Middle Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology). The goal of this innovative partnership is to identify, recruit, develop, mentor, hire, and retain high performing interns as classroom teachers while they are completing their culminating year of their teacher education program to fulfill teacher certification and college of education completion requirements.
